Hello! My name is Melissa Mabrey Fitts and I have been a registered nurse since 1999. I graduated from Auburn University with my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Since that time, I have worked as a pediatric nurse in various settings (PICU, NICU, pediatric cardiac ICU, newborn nursery, and emergency department) in different hospitals all over the country, from New York City to Honolulu, from Mobile, Alabama to Seattle. I have also been an educator, teaching childbirth and new parent classes. I am a Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse, a CPR instructor, and a member of the Georgia Association of School Nurses.
Currently I am employed as a Emergency Department Assistant Nurse Manager at CHOA Scottish Rite and have been there since 2010. This is my fourth year at Atlanta Academy being the school nurse, but my fifth year here as a parent. I have 4 children that attend this school and I look forward to knowing all of the children here. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!
